Map Collection of the Faculty of Science of Charles University contains 83 globes, tellurions and an armillary sphere (data as of 2013), including 14 rare specimen. The globes are being made accessible to the public as part of the TEMAP project. For this reason, a separate website has been created for the globes of the Map Collection of the Faculty of Science of Charles University.
The website offers both descriptive and visual information on the globes and, in particular, authentic three-dimensional virtual
models of selected exhibits in various formats.
The website will further be developed and gradually extended to include other virtual 3D presentations of the globes.
The website pages have been developed for Internet Explorer 11. Problems may occur if other browsers are used. WebGL format may also be used in connection with Mozzila Firefox and Opera browsers.
